How can we help?

Answers to what people ask most. If yours isn’t here, write to support@keepsignpdf.com. A person reads every message, in English or Spanish.

It helps to include your device, the system version, the Keepsign version (About Keepsign) and, if you can, the save receipt. Please don’t send confidential documents; describe the problem first and we’ll tell you what we need.

01 Signatures and saving
Keepsign says a change would break a signature. What does that mean?

The change you made isn’t one the signer allowed, for example editing text on a signed page. If you save it, that signature will show as not valid. You can cancel, save a separate copy, or save anyway. Filling empty fields and adding notes usually don’t break signatures.

The receipt says “issuer not recognised”. Is my document damaged?

No. The signature matches the document; your device just doesn’t know the certificate authority that issued it. That’s common with company or national certificates. The document hasn’t changed.

Keepsign quit while I was working. Did I lose my changes?

Open the same PDF again. Keepsign keeps an encrypted journal of your changes and offers to recover them. If the file changed in the meantime, it saves your changes as a separate copy.

How do I go back to an earlier version?

Open the Versions tool (in the Protect group, or search for it under All), pick the save you want and tap Go back to this version. Nothing is overwritten, so earlier versions remain available.

How do I import my Digital ID?

Open a PDF, choose the Digital ID tool in the Sign group and tap Sign with a certificate (.p12 or .pfx). Pick the file, enter its password, and choose to keep it in this device’s keychain so you don’t need the file next time.

02 Pro and purchases
I bought Pro but it doesn’t show on my other device.

Make sure both devices use the same Apple Account in the App Store, then open Settings › Keepsign Pro › Restore Purchases.

How do the three free Pro tries work?

Any three Pro jobs are free on each device. A try counts when the job is done, like the Word file created or the copy compressed, never when you just open a tool. What you made is yours to keep.

Can my family use my purchase?

Yes, with Family Sharing turned on for purchases. They’ll see “Pro, shared by your family” in Settings.

How do I ask for a refund?

Apple handles refunds at reportaproblem.apple.com. We can’t issue refunds ourselves.

03 Devices and setup
Which devices are supported?

iPhone and iPad with iOS or iPadOS 17 or later, and Mac with macOS 14 or later. The AI tools need a device with Apple Intelligence turned on.

How do I make Keepsign open my PDFs?

On Mac, select a PDF in Finder, choose File › Get Info, pick Keepsign under Open with and click Change All. On iPhone and iPad, open a PDF from Files and use the share button › Keepsign; Keepsign also shows a short guide the first time.

Where are my files?

Wherever you opened them from. New PDFs go to the Keepsign folder in iCloud Drive, or on the device if iCloud Drive is off. On Mac you can add the folders where you keep PDFs to the library; nothing is moved or copied.

Is there a version for Windows or Android?

Not at the moment. Keepsign is built for iPhone, iPad and Mac.
